Description

Chased by the mob during the pandemic, Albert escapes with a friend to Vancouver Island. To hide, he becomes Bert, then Al, then, on Haida Qwaii, back to Andrei.

He falls in love with Cloe, who is accused of murdering their former boss. She takes the name Ernie.

They are helped to hide by an entity called Beasty.
